Located on the beautiful Medina River, 16 miles from the downtown River Walk, on the southern city limits of the Alamo City. We have over 3/4 of a mile of river frontage to fish, hike or just enjoy the quiet beauty of this historic 96-acre working ranch. We have over 3-miles of wooded trails for hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding and abundant wildlife to see. Alamo River RV Ranch offers more space, more solitude, and more comfort than any other park in the greater San Antonio area.

Why did we name it Alamo River? Local legend has it that in February of 1836 when General Santa Ana, President of Mexico was marching to San Antonio, the weather had been very wet and rainy Arriving at the Medina River, the high water prevented him and his army from crossing to the other side. He was forced to camp under the large Oak tree on the ranch for four days until the river level subsided to allow him to cross. This Oak tree has been named The Santa Ana Oak and is estimated to be over 600 years old. It has a diameter of over 12 feet at its base and is considered one of the oldest Live Oak trees in America.

Our new RV sites are 50 feet wide and over 60 feet long. Interior roads are wide and entry is easy at every site. We have fishing, secluded, drive to tent campsites with water, over 3-miles of trails, and the quiet solitude of being in the country while being very close to Lackland AFB (12 miles), Sea World (16 miles), Toyota (9 miles), Fiesta Texas (16 miles), The River Walk (16 miles), and the Alamo (16 miles) 1 mile off IH-35 South between loop 410 and 1604, we are easy to find.
